Fringues Boutique
A thrift boutique unlike any other.
Since 1989, Fringues thrift boutique has served as a work placement and training space for Fringues & Cie program participants. It is an essential component in integrating these women into the workplace, all while contributing its profits towards employment programs, by promoting the recycling of second-hand clothing.
Despite an interruption of nearly four months, Fringues Boutique managed to generate revenues of $35,438 (a 41% drop), which was directly reinvested in our employability programs. The last quarter of business allowed us to reconnect with our clientele and the marked increase in the number of transactions and amount spent gives us good reason to look forward with optimism. And this, even more so because the new sales management system is now fully up and running and we worked hard to lay the groundwork for a future online boutique.

The pandemic severely affected retail sales, but despite everything, generous donors, individuals and corporations made it possible for us to maintain a good variety of high-quality clothing. Four partners made substantial donations of new clothing, namely Micheal Tyler, Dress for Success, Deuxième Édition and Ardène. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude.
